Transport of the future

• prevalent : existing very commonly or happening often. 

              (adjective.)  流行的、盛行的

        

          ex:These disease are more prevalent among young children. 

• commonplace : happening often or often seen or experienced and so not considered to be special.  

              (adjective.) 平常的 

          ex : Eletric  cars  are increasingly commonplace.

• prototype : the first example of something - such as a machine or other industrial produce ,from which  all later forms are developed.

         ex : A prototype for/of a new car.     

• far-fetched : very unlikely to be true and difficult to believe

               (adjective.) 牽強的、難以置信的

          ex : That possibility is not as far-fetched as it may seem from outside.

• vacuum : a lack of something .

               (noun.) 缺乏、空白

          

          ex : The withdrawal of troops from the area has created a security vacuum                    which will need to be filled.
